Q: Can esthetics or cosmetology students participate in these classes?
Absolutely! As long as you have completed your first 100 hours, you're good to go!
Q: Do I need to be an esthetician/aesthetician to become a laser technician?
No! While you don't need to be an esthetician, there are specific requirements to enroll in our laser technician class at Aesthetics Academy of Idaho. We believe in ensuring that our program is the right fit for you, which is why we require prospective students to schedule an interview with us before signing up for the class. This interview helps us assess your suitability and ensure you get the most out of your training.
Q: Do you have to be an aesthetician, cosmetologist, or in the medical field to take these classes?
No! Permanent Makeup Powder Brows, Saline Tattoo Removal, and Spray Tanning are available to anyone who would like to take the class. You can also take the classes as early as age 16 with parental consent.
Q: Are nurses or medical professionals eligible for these classes?
Yes, medical professionals are welcome! Make sure to check out our Facial Basics course first if you need to learn the basics of giving a facial, treatment room set up, and supply ordering.
Q: How big are the classes?
Our in-person classes have a maximum of 16 students, ensuring a quality hands-on experience. PMU Powder Brows and Spray Tanning are a maximum of 4 students.
Q: If I attend via Zoom, can I still work on a model?
Of course! Our instructors will guide you as you follow along with in-person students during treatments on their models.
Q: Do you accept payments?
Absolutely! We offer payments through PayPal. They are easy to get approved through, and once approved, you work directly with them on the payments.
Q: Can I write off this class on my taxes?
Yes, you can! This is a business expense, so you can write off the class, supplies, and travel expenses.
Q: Will there be support after class?
You bet! We're always available to answer questions via texts, emails, and our private student FB group.
Q: Will I receive a certificate?
Absolutely! Every class comes with a professional certificate of completion, great for insurance purposes or displaying to clients.
Q: How long are the classes?
Class durations vary, but most last around 4-6 hours. Laser classes typically span two 9-hour days. Each class will say its class duration.
Q: What if I don't receive a welcome email after signing up?

Q: Can I bring snacks/lunch to class?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring your own snacks and lunch. We provide water, coffee, and tea, and there's a fridge and microwave for student use.
Q: Who teaches each class?
We have multiple amazing licensed aestheticians as instructors, each carefully chosen for their expertise in teaching specific classes. Each currently working in the industry.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
No refunds, but if you can't make a scheduled class, you can join the next one on that subject. Once you have a certificate, you can retake any class at no additional charge.
Q: Which classes can I take without being an esthetician or in the medical field?
